Young Researcher and Poster Awards
The Conference will provide Young Researcher Award (selected from abstracts and full paper) for applicants from developing countries. Poster Award will be considered by academic committees of the Conference. Awardees will receive:
a) Certificate and waived registration fees; (For Young Researcher and Poster Awards)
b) Publication his/her paper in TSHE international journal (EnvironmentAsia Journal). (For Young Researcher Award only)
Eligibility: A candidate who has enrolled in a full-time graduate student program for a Master or Doctoral degree in environment and relevant majors; or a junior professional / academic whose specialty or research interest is in environment and related fields. In addition, all applicants need to be less than 35 years of age at the time receiving the award and need to:
I) Submit abstract(s) and be the first and presenting author of the abstract(s);
II) Provide an official letter to prove the student status issued by the Department / Institution Head, or a recommendation letter from academic advisor. Junior Professional / Academic applicants need to get certification;
III) Provide curriculum vitae (within 1~2 pages)
Criteria for Abstract and Full-paper Acceptance
The Organizing Committee conduct the peer-review process of all abstracts and full-papers and have the authority to accept or reject any submission. The main factors considered by the Organizing Committee to qualify abstracts and full-papers for acceptance are as follows:
- The quality of the research
- The significance of the topic to the theme of conference
- The content of the abstract and full-paper
Guideline for Presentation
Oral presentation
Oral presentation is limited to 10 minutes and additional 3 minutes for questions. Projector and PC computer will be available. We request the speakers to upload their presentation file (we recommend PowerPoint) within 09.00 am of presentation day.
Poster presentation
Display space of poster board is 90 cm width x 150 cm height. Your poster should not exceed these measurements. The reference number of each abstract will be labeled on the upper corner of poster board. The poster should contain the title and authors’ names and affiliation, introduction, materials and methods, results and conclusion in form of figures, graphs, tables, etc., reference and acknowledgements (if have).
Poster Awards
Two Poster Awards will be announced on 24 March 2011. The criteria of consideration base on scientific novelty and excellence, logical presentation and aesthetics. Awardees will receive certificate and waive registration fees.
